So I've been horrible at blogging lately so here is a whole month's worth of posts in one. So you've been warned.....This will be long!
Once we got our tree up she kept walking by and playing in the curtains. Normally our couch blocks the curtains so she took full advantage of her playtime in them. Peek a boo happened the entire time we were decorating the tree.
This is how Sawyer helped. He went in between our couches and cleaned for us. What a helpful pooch.
My two little loves making sure the lights work!
Our finished tree. We bought these decorations the year we got married and I have never loved a tree as much as I love ours. It's so simple yet beautiful. Plus my favorite word is all over the tree, Joy.
Later in the month we decided to make paper snowflakes. I was pleasantly surprised at how good they turned out so we decided to have our own winter wonderland in our "square".
Christmas Eve!! We all got new jammies. Addie was so tired after playing with cousins so opening her Christmas Eve jammies was a chore. In fact, when she saw what was in the wrapping she shoved it away and shook her head 'no' at us. But she looks so darling in them.
We also gave Sawyer a Christmas Eve present. As you can see, he didn't get to play with it. Addie thought his ball was the coolest toy ever! She loves to throw it around the house.
Christmas morning was spent at my parents house. They recently moved to a smaller home so we had to make a few adjustments to make our morning a surprise. In their old house they would close the doors to our living room (where the tree and gifts were) and every Christmas morning we would go in youngest to oldest and opening those doors was magical. So this was how my brothers decided to make our entrance to the living room a surprise. So clever.
Addie loved playing with the paper chains. Oh and ripping off the cotton balls and trying to eat them. Our Christmas spoil!
Addie enjoyed opening presents for about 20 minutes before she was burned out.
The crazies.
I told him to smile. This is what I got.
Shawn surprised me with a new iPod nano and an iHome. I have been absolutely loving them!!
My cute mom!We enjoyed putting the bows on Addies head. And by we, I mean Shawn and I. Addie DID NOT appreciate it. At all.
This gift was by far Addie's favorite. At this point she was so done opening gifts. So we started opening her airplane for her and as soon as she saw what it was, she started squealing. She got so excited!
Her other favorite toy was my dads glasses string. I took this picture of her grabbing it and right after I took the picture, she yanked it and almost pulled my dad over! So funny
We had such a great December and a wonderful 2011. We loved having our bug with us this entire year and are looking forward to what exciting adventures this new year will bring. Here's to hoping all your Christmas' were as good as ours was! I have other things that I want to blog about so check back soon and I promise there will be more. No more slacking off for me. Being a better blogger is definitely one of my New Years resolutions! Happy New Years!

Merry Christmas! Addie is growing up so fast and so adorable. You need to bring her into the office so we can see her!
Looks like you guys had a great Christmas! Why did I think your mom and dad moved to Cali? Weird. I love the paper chain idea, very cute! Happy New Year! :)
