California Trip

On September 11th, we left for California to spend 10 days with my family. Here is a little recap of what we did......

One of the first things we did was go to a Padres game. Shawn was like a little kid in a candy store. The Padres played the Giants and got smashed but it was still fun. My first professional baseball game ever!

We went to the La Jolla tide pools. It was a blast. We saw all sorts of creatures and then we found the biggest, most disgusting piece of seaweed ever. Shawn decided he needed a tail. 

Ok so funny story... While we were at the tide pools catching crabs, my cousin caught the monster you can see in this picture. We were admiring the crab when this lady said, 'You guys need to put that crab back where you found it.' She said it so snottily like we were gonna try to kill the creature. We all felt stupid and then the crab started pinching my dad and my cousin, and finally it fell into a crevice. Sorry lady.

We also got the chance to go see the temple. It was the perfect way to spend our Sunday.

We went to the San Diego Zoo. It was awesome! The best part was we got to see 3 pandas. This panda was a year and a half old and was super active. It was so cute!

Our wonderful trip ended with 4 days of Disneyland and California adventure. September 18th was my birthday and in the picture I'm wearing my birthday pin. My parents made me wear it. All day long people were telling me "Happy Birthday" and it was so embarrassing. 

We went on California Screaming and Shawn just about wet himself. He loved it! He didn't remember any of the rides so it was all brand new for him. His excitement was probably the best part of the trip.

So after we broke the Roger Rabbit ride, security came and put us in jail. See how sad we are?

We got to explore Minnie's House. Shawn was pretty tired so he took a rest on her chair and enjoyed himself thoroughly.
