Addie's 2 Month

Adalyn had her 2 month appointment earlier this week and things went great! We got all her measurements and my tiny little girl is still tiny! She now weighs 9 lbs 15 oz (26%-tile), is 22 inches long (35%-tile) and her head is 37.5 cm (18%-tile). She is meeting all of her developmental milestones like turning her head towards sounds and smiling and cooing. At the doctors she was so alert and happy. When the nurse was trying to measure how long she was, she wouldn't stop wiggling. The nurse even commented that she was super wiggly. Then when our pediatrician came in to check her out, she wouldn't stop wiggling. He kept trying to check her ears and she wiggled away. Not upset at all, just wiggling. He laughed and commented that he likes that she is so active and wiggling.

Then came the dreaded shots. I was so so nervous. I was not looking forward to her getting hurt. Luckily, the nurse was an absolute pro. In about 3 seconds it was over. Addie had barely enough time to cry before it was done. I hurried and picked her up and calmed her down. She cried for only about 5 minutes. Then we came home and I get the biggest smiles! Like the one below!! She ended up getting pretty ornery the rest of the day and the next day but it wasn't bad and tylenol really really helped!!

Some fun facts about Addie at 2 months:
  • She absolutely loves her daddy. Every time Shawn gets home, she looks around for him and smiles and smiles at him.
  • She loves bath time. But the water has to be super warm or else she gets fussy. She loves us to pour water all over her.
  • She has found her hands! Especially at bath time. She loves to suck on her fists!
  • She hates tummy time. Oh my, its a struggle to even get her to last 5 minutes.
  • She puts herself to sleep. It's a dream come true. I just have to lay her in bed with her binkie and she will fall asleep. Every now and again I have to put it in again but it just doesn't take too much time. Then I go in and see that she is sleeping on top of her binkie.
  • Like I said earlier, she is a wiggler. When holding her, she will wiggle until she is comfortable. And that doesn't mean that you will be comfy. In fact, she likes the weirdest positions and it gets super uncomfortable sometimes.
  • She is so strong. She is already standing with help. She can support most of her weight. Also she is holding her head up really well and enjoys pushing off your chest with her arms. She also is getting really close to rolling over whenever she wants. She has done it before but doesn't do it consistently.
  • She snores. Loud.
  • She makes the funniest faces. She has her pirate face where she will only open one eye and look at us. It's so silly! Funny funny girl and we love her so very much!!
