New Calling

On Sunday I received a new calling. A member of my bishopbric called right before church to see if I could meet with him. I knew it meant a calling since I haven't had one in 5 months. I kept trying to figure out what it might be. I was so nervous. I knew that I would say yes no matter what the calling was. I got called to be the Assistant Camp Director! So excited! Well, I went to Young Women's during the third hour and found out that there was a meeting after church to discuss New Beginnings which was yesterday. And myself and the camp director would be teaching a class at New Beginnings to discuss camp. Then I found out that there is a workshop this upcoming Saturday for several hours all about camp. Whew! What a time to be called!

I started feeling a bit overwhelmed. I'm still trying to get the hang of things with a little baby and now I have a calling that will be pretty demanding. At the meeting, I talked with the Young Women's President (who is absolutely AMAZING). She told me that she was worried about calling me in because of the baby, and that she had been asking around to make sure I had family near by to help me out. The she said that she realized that it was going to be ok because I am SUPPOSED to be in this calling. Everything would work out and the Lord would support me and help me.

So I started getting more excited. So yesterday, I went to New Beginnings. I was pretty nervous just because I only know a couple of the girls. I thought that I would be shy and feel intimidated by the girls. Not the case. I know that the Lord lifts us and supports us in the callings that he places us. I felt completely at home last night. The few girls that I had the opportunity to talk to were very welcoming and I was not scared one bit to get to know them. Now I can't wait for camp! I am so looking forward to these next few months, getting to know the girls every Sunday and Tuesday. I am excited to be a part of the planning of camp. I just pray that I will know the things that these girls need to experience and learn while at camp. But whatever happens there is one thing that I do know. The Lord put me here for a reason and I will be able to do this calling because He wants me to succeed. And for that, I am eternally grateful. And really excited!

And of course I can't post with out putting a picture of my little bug. So here's to hoping this video works! I've posted it on Facebook but it's just so darn cute!
